Join us in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Book Lovers Ball and the 125th Anniversary of the Aurora Free Library.
The ball is planned for the evening of Oct. 19, 2024 at Treleaven Winery in King Ferry, NY. The evening includes dinner by Simply Cookie, dancing to live music by Central New York favorites The Destination, and Silent Auction with goods and services for all tastes.
All funds raised support the Aurora Free Library, including community programming and upkeep of the historic building located in the heart of downtown Aurora, NY. In the past year, several important capital projects were completed, including repairs to the roof, front steps, and side door. Soon to come will be installing air conditioning on the second floor; allowing the library to offer programs upstairs during the hot summer months. Additionally, plans are underway to refurbish the original leaded glass windows.
The library offers many exciting programs and is truly the hub of our community. Clubs include Fiber Arts, Art and Legos. The preschool preschool story hour is enormously popular. The summer reading program encompasses all ages and will include a live performance by The Rev Theater. The library offers Take and Make Art Kits for children, and has provided a venue for the Polished Silver Luncheons for Seniors. Additionally, Ithaca Sciencenter and State Park Passes are available for patrons to borrow.
Book Lovers’ Ball sponsors receive recognition at the Ball, in printed media, on social media channels, and our website. To include your logo in our invitations, sponsorships must be received by July 15.
